Q.

Hello Dr! My one month baby girl is getting eye discharge, consulted an ophthalmologist and on her suggestion, have been using tobramycin sulphate and sodium carboxymethylcellulose eye drops from last 10 days, yet I see just a little improvement. Is it a thing to worry , Any suggestions please!!

A. If your one-month-old baby's eye discharge has only shown slight improvement after 10 days of using Tobramycin sulfate and sodium carboxymethylcellulose eye drops, it is important to follow up with the ophthalmologist. Persistent discharge can indicate an underlying issue that may require further evaluation or a different treatment approach. Additionally, ensure proper hygiene around the eye area to prevent further irritation or infection. Do not hesitate to seek a second opinion if you feel concerned about the progress.
