Q.

hello Dr. my daughter has completed her 9 months and now she got to have a measles vaccine next week.... my baby was infected with covid on 7 th may and recovered... can I give her measles vaccine now or delay?

A. Dr. it is the 6 th week now.... and vaccination is after two weeks...

A. Hello, your baby girl is 9 months old and she was Covid infection so you should not give her any vaccinations for 3/5 weeks from the cure dates so

A. because of the current pandemic situation due to covid it is advisable to postpone the vaccinations for a few weeks for safety of your child against covid, you can talk to your pediatrician for re scheduling of it but if you have missed any vaccinations in previous time it's not a problem it won't affect the baby, you can get them done now if it is possible for you to follow all the safety protocol while the vaccinations are done. flu vaccine or influenza vacgcine are suggested to give partial protection against covid but they are of limited help, complete safety precautions has to be followed for complete protection.
