Deepika GurunathanMom of a 3 yr 10 m old girl3 years agoA. hello mom,ive faced the same prob 2weeks back that baby refuses to breastfeed while awake and feeds during sleep. my lactation consultant suggested to feed with paaladai or cup during daytime by avoiding bottles as it might cause nipple confusion for baby.i followed the same for a week and could see improvements in baby latch.try if this works in your case as well.
Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. for low breast milk supply you need to take plenty of liquids and high fibre diet and give frequent feeding to your child so that milk production increases as it is a hormonal phenomenon regulated by signals to the brain so you should feel positively motivated and do not try to give formula milk unless advised by your paediatrician and if the weight gain and urinary output of your baby is normal .if required you can also take help from a lactation consultan ha dt who will guide you in a very proper way regarding establishment of good lactation as well as will help you in relieving pain if you have any. medicines are not of much help in this but definitely your diet is very important.
