Father of a 5 yr old boy4 years ago
Q.

Hello Doctor While coming down the stairs, my husband while holding the baby slipped and fell. My baby slipped from his hand and fell on the stairs and to the ground (on the last 2 steps down). He started crying and we consoled him and checked for any injuries. He has no injuries, but his right eye is little red. He stopped crying in 10-15 mins and after feeding, he became normal, active and laughing. This happened in the afternoon and he is normal till now. His eye is still a bit red and he spit milk like usual once in the day. Our parents told us not to worry and it’s alright. But we could not stop worrying. Can you tell us what to do next, if we need to take him to the nearest hospital.

A. Hello ma’am Monitor till tomorrow morning and if your child is still normal taking feed properly active showing no sign of discomfort then do not worry about it and anyways your child slipped on the last was there so I don’t think so your child got hurt too much your child probably cried because he got scared. Apart from that about the eyes I would advise you to consult a doctor and get an eye drop done for the same I don’t worry about it just consult your doctor tomorrow only if needed
