Q.

hello doctor.. myself suruchi. I am a mother of 3 yr 4 months old daughter. My concern is my daughter's weight 23kg . Her height is 100cm. Is this ok? I think she is overweight. plz reply.

A. Cut down store bought packaged food, oily fried food chocolate biscuit icecream outside food. Serve fresh juices, fruits steamed boiled veggies , nuts , dry fruits, soaked or roasted seeds, brown rice or millets must replace white rice , sprouted lentils - boil and fried ones, more coconut in any form- laddoo milk or curry… Your kids will turn super strong and very healthy active and happy

A. Your kid is definitely overweight .Give steam veggies and more fruits, juices, brown rice ,millets in place of white rice.we are vegan so I give my kid vegan milk, sesame laddoo, green leafy curries and lots of seasonal fruit . Cut down oils, meat, dairy .I still give my kid kichdi 4 times a week which is 1:1:2 ratio dal , brown rice , veggies .

A. Hi Yes weight is on the higher side but we cannot put the child on a low calorie diet as it is a growth phase for the child instead, limit giving Biscuits, ice creams, waffers, bread sugary drinks packaged foods cakes to the child Engage child in outdoor activities like swimming football cycling skipping jumping dancing daily
