Q.

Hello doctor My son will be 8 months old in 3 days. He is 73 cm in height and weighs 8.4 kg. His birth weight was 2.9 kg. He was born in 36th week. He has not started teething yet though gums have become hard and bony. We are giving him prescribed doses of Calcimax, Raricap, Depura and Vit A to Z. Is his growth satisfactory?

A. you cant wait till the age of 18 months for the first tooth to erupt in your baby's mouth and there is nothing to worry about in this for the proper analysis of your child's growth it is better to visit the pediatrician you have been going to since your child's birth

A. Hi mom At six months weight should be double to birth weight Give two liquid diet followed by BM or formula milk It’s all normal and common No need to worry Every child is unique and has unique pattern of development Give ultra D3 drops and calcium supplements Do tummy time and cycling movement of legs to relieve gas and constipation
