hello doctor , my name is kajal . l just wanted to asked you how to stop breastfeeding for 18 month baby. my baby she is now 18 month old . we have started solid food for her health. she timely eat also solid food but while sleeping or travelling or other activities she need feeding. how would I stop this without irrating her.every day while sleeping she need feeding than she sleep.could you please help me for this.

Neelam ChinnappaMom of a 7 yr 4 m old boy3 years agoA. hey Hey Babies normally won't sleep in other waysand would want feeding mother's. Ask ur hubby or mom to put him to sleep.
Don't feed animal milk or formula milk at night...just try to offer sips of water n pat or rock him on lap...initially it is going to be tough as dey want to breastfed...start with dropping one feed for initial days n den gradually drop other feedsHe will cry an hour or so first night n reduce the next night and finally he will stop waking up
Max 4 days i think and then no more night feeds
