Hello doctor, My friend's son is 40 days old. the child has cold & cough for past 4 days.. the child has to be given 6 weeks vaccination. i wanted to know can the vaccination be given to child if the child has cough & cold ? kindly advise

simple fever , cough and cold as well as simple discomfort of the child for a few days is not a contraindication for vaccination and it is advisable to go for vaccination at the earliest.
the maximum you can delay would be around 2-3 weeks but after that it is advisable not to delay the vaccination
if still in confusion you can meet your doctor who will examine the child and tell you whether vaccination delay is preferable or you can go for vaccination
