Q.
hello doctor.....my daughter is 4 years completed...she is having very dry and sensitive skin...since yesterday she is having itching and rashes on her elbow area and knee area....I gave her allegra syrup 5ml once a day and apply calamine lotion but today no any improvement...she is having same problem one year before....what should I do ..... her skin is very dry since birth .... dermatologist suggest us that it'll recover when she is older ...and we used steroids too for her skin

kindly apply moisturizing lotion or cream (any good brand any good brand like atogla, venussia, oliatum, sebamed , citaphil etc ) or virgin coconut oil on the skin 4 to 5 times per day. regular moisturizer helps in decreasing chances of dry skin as well as prevents skin rash dermatitis during all season.
use moisturizing soap.
do not apply any type of cream lotion or powder which is causing allergy or rash on the skin.
avoid using hard water for bath.
moisturizing cream / lotion to be applied at more frequent intervals.

AbhayaMom of a 15 yr 8 m old boy1 Year agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much. Please apply lacto calamine lotion on the affected areas. Also you can apply MamaEarth baby rash cream on it. Please massage baby with BabyHug coconut oil. Also use Sebamed soap to bathe the baby. Use a good brand moisturiser like BabyHug moisturiser or MamaEarth moisturiser for the baby. Also use a good brand sunscreen lotion for the baby.
