Q.

Hello doctor,My Daughter is 1 month 5 days old. I am not sure if my breastmilk is sufficient. she drinks for 5 minutes and fall asleep and wakes up every 15-20 minutes same continues till evening. Evening she latches for more than 2 hours continuously, but doesn't fall asleep....she sleeps very less as she wakes up every 15-20 minutes, so I feel breastmilk is not sufficient, so I give formula milk thrice a day. please suggest how much ML of lactogen for 1 month 5 days old baby.

A. About 30 ML can be given to the child but it seems like your child is not taking sufficient feeding at one time which is why your child is again asking for a field so instead of starting for formula feeding first you have to check how much is your child gaining in a month it should be a minimum of 4 to 500 g that’s going to give you a clarity that the milk is sufficient for the child
