Q.

Hello Doctor, My baby is one month old and is breastfed. She has got small pimples/rash on its forehead and few of it on the cheeks. Im not able to make out what it is! please find attached the picture. Could you please let me know if it is a matter of concern . will the pimples reduce over time? could you suggest a home remedy for the same and also the mother's diet would affect

A. Thes type of skin changes are normal in newborn. It is due to transfer of maternal harmones. There is nothing extra required. Use products with skin friendly pH. Sebamed or aveeno products are equally good

A. Hi parent You may apply cataphil lotion over the affected area. Take sunbath daily with her head and ears covered. Yes mom's diet affects her. mom should take nutritious diet including probiotics millets and citrus fruits.
