hello doctor, my baby is 3months old she didn't pass motion since 6days, after birth it is first time happening.Is't normal. should I consult doctor. I have given lactouse syrup yesterday without asking doctor .it is good or not,but still didn't pass motion.

A. Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food has been started after ho 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be given only in medical supervision .
