My baby is not having fever.. just cough and cold since a week now, can we suspect it to be bacterial infection and is it anything to be worried?

A. my baby also had same condition. my Dr. also gave him to sch medicines thrice a day with nebulizer ! now my baby is fine !! u can give it !!

A. Home remedy which you suggested of tulsi and ginger is it recommended for a 3.5 month baby.
I have mentioned medicines advised by doctor... wanted to know if antibiotics can be given to a 3.5 month baby. And my baby does not have fever nor any breathing issues, he is having only cough and cold. Is it anything to be worried about?

A. Cough along with Cold and fever most of the time is a viral illness or allergic and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration needs to be maintained. you can give steam inhalation which may be useful .
cough needs to be treated with medicine like anti allergic expectorant bronchodilators antitussives or cough suppresents medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough and need.
In severe cough nebulisation can be given where medicvuine directly gets dilivered in thje respiratory tract.
Also if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose is 15 mg/ kg body weight and can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
Home remedies like Tulsi & ginger mix in honey can be tried for soothing.
