Hello doctor, My baby boy is 8 months old and he has cold till 12 days .I'm giving some syrup daily, which is doctor prescribed bt still cold is as it is.what is the reason ND what can I do?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of some viral infection or allergic condition and symptoms are usually sneezing, running nose, nasal congestion and fever. cough along with throat irritation are usually associated .
Treatment consists of antiallergic antipyretics analgesics and decongestants medicine .
As a home remedy steam inhalation would be very useful .
Medicines like wikoryl / tminic / Alex cold can be used in a proper dose for 3-5 days as per fthe symptoms .
Steam inhalation is repeated frjequently .
