hello doctor, my baby born on 25 September 2024 , he sleep alot ,he doesn't wake up for feeding, when we try to wake up him he didn't feed sometime he sleep more than 5 hours without feeding,is it normal

A. Hai good morning !! Yes new born babies sleep most of the day around 16-18 hours and awakes at night. But feeding frequently every two hours is must. If baby is sleeping at a stretch for3-5 hours then give feed once in 2-3 hours by waking him you can gently pat or rub on back ,rubbing ears,feet they will wake a bit help him in latching babies can latch in middle of sleep and take feed ... after every feed burp well .
