Q.

hello doctor,My 3 months old has problem in passing stools.Today is her 5th day but yet she has no passed stools.she feels very uncomfortable and gassy when she does not pass stools.what should I do so she could pass stool regularly?

A. It's normal in newborns they can take 7 to10 days to pass the stool.

A. It is very normal that infants and newborns may not pass stool for more than 10 days also and sometimes the frequency can can can be around 6 to 7 times per day also. Both the above frequency of stool passage is normal if the consistency of the stool is semi solid to solid.
