Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. Hair loss in babies is very common and because of many reasons.
Because of the withdrawal maternal hormone initial hairfall is there.
After birth all the hair of the baby remain in the resting phase and usually by 8 to 12 weeks of age shedding of hairs is there .
Hairs will grow back mostly by 3-7 months but a proper quality hair will be there by around 2 years of age.
Cradle cap is also af cause for frequent sfhedding of hairs. along with traction alopecia because of continuous pressure on head in lying position

At The age of three months hair fall is absolutely normal don’t worry about it and the white patches you’re talking about could be cradle Which is very common from the time of birth it will automatically fall out completely once you get your child’s head shaved off so as of now just consider it normal
