Q.

Hello doctor, I want to know my son’s pcv-1 vaccine is of pneumosil brand cand i opt other brand for pcv-2 & pcv-3 or is it necessary to have pnemosil?? I mean will it cause any harm if same brand vaccine is not available???

A. Sir i want to know same brand vaccine is necessary or i change the brand..

A. pcv which also stands for pneumococcal vaccine is a very important vaccine and is mandatory for all children. at present the vaccine is that much important that the indian government is giving it now free of cost in regular vaccination schedule. meet your doctor who will tell you the schedulex for pneumococcal vaccine. even if it was missed previously you can go for it now also. this vaccine preventsx infection due to pneumococcal bacteria which can affect the brain throat chest the child.
