Hello Doctor, I have 3 months old daughter and iam breastfeeding her. However, iam using nipple shield for breastfeeding. Could you please advise if it is fine to continue nipple shield. Also what is the ideal weight for 3 months old baby girl. Thanks, Madhura

A. Namaste Mom Direct ia obvious the best way but at times using it in order to safe if any issue related to nipples is fine . monthly weight gain is expected in range of 400 gm to 1 kg and by age of 4 to 6 months they double their birth weight

A. Absolutely Ma’am they are hundred percent comfortable and safe for you to use and the child should gain at least minimum of 500 g in a month if your child expected to be minimum of 1500 g in three months or more than that
