Q.

Hello doctor, How to measure temperature from thermometer because I am using mercury, digital, infrarred one.. If I am using mercury then I am checking it for 1 min 30 sec keeping in armpit based on the results adding one more point for example if it showing 98.4 then considering it as 99.4 Suppose if I am using digital and infrarred then adding two points for example if it showing 97.4 then we are considering it as 99.4 Is that correct calacution what we are doing or do we need to consider the same value what is showing in thermometer.. I hope you understand my point.. If using mercury for result output value we are adding one more value if using digital and infrarred for result output value we are adding 2 more values. please help me out with this

A. at present the best method to take temperature with proper results and feasibility would be a simple digital thermometer and the temperature in the armpit has to be taken and if the temperature in the armpit is 100 or more you have to consider it as fever and if the same thermometer is kept in the oral cavity then 99 degree fahrenheit is considered as fever
