Hello Doctor At the time of pregnancy my thyroid level is increased, so my doctor prescribed me thyroid medicine Eltroxin 50mcg. That is continued still now . How long it is going on? Is there any side effects on my 9 month old baby due to that medication. she is breastfed. she is not gaining weight and not interested to eat anything.

A. you taking the Thyroid medications will not cause an issue with regards to your breast milk production quality or quantity or even on the baby. You have to keep checking thyroid profile every six months once and alter the dosageWrite Your Answer Here

A. Thanks for your response. Yes iam checking it in every 5 months. Now the T3, T4 and TSH is normal, but doctor said take the same dose and check it after 5 months.
