Q.

#AskTheExperI started taking Thyroid medicine thyronorme durin pregnancy as my thyroid level was 3.5 and doctor said it should be less than 2.5 in pregnancy. But now after 6 months also I am taking thyonorm 12.5 and my Tsh is 3.3 So can i stop taking medicine now

A. Most of the times when thyroid medications are started,they are to be taken for the lifetime. You can continue the same medications until you breast feed your baby and then try reducing the dosages

A. Without Consulting your gynaecologist you cannot stop taking this medicine see if I say today that you stop it okay for my knowledge in tomorrow if you have any side-effect or any other issue relating to that then it is not going to be good for you so please do not take any decision without consulting your doctor
