hello doc ,just wanted to check that my baby was born with weight of 2.6 kg now he is 5 months 4 days old and his current weight is 6.5 kg. he is on 90% formula milk . actually he was 6.8 two weeks ago but reduced in this two week. he is otherwise very active, meeting his milestone and take feed properly. why his weight reduced suddenly. please advise.

ExpertDr. Minal AcharyaNutritionist2 years agoA. dear mum, a weight loss of 300 grams is not a cause for worry if your baby is active, alert, passing urine more than 7 times in 24 hours and achieving all growth milestones. your baby's weight is still within the normal range.
