Q.

hello doc. I have one month baby and she got jaundice just after her birth and jaundice level was 30 she was cured with phototherapy....it's been more then one week her legs and hands are shaking very frequently...is it because of weakness or something else

A. shivering in newborn can be due to startle reflex and less likely due to calcium deficiency. kindxly continue to give breastfeeding to the child and take a video of the shivering and meet your doctor who will tell you whether it is normal startle reflex or it is due to hypocalcemia. x
