POOJA KOTHARIMom of a 8 yr 5 m old boy5 months agoA. If your four-month-old baby is sweating more, it can be normal as babies have immature temperature regulation. However, excessive sweating could be due to overdressing, a warm environment, or even feeding effort. Make sure your baby is dressed in light, breathable cotton clothes and the room is cool (around 24-26°C).
If your baby sweats a lot during feeding, sleep, or without any reason, it’s good to observe for other signs like poor weight gain, tiredness, or breathing difficulty. In rare cases, excessive sweating can be linked to conditions like vitamin D deficiency (rickets) or heart issues. If your baby is otherwise active, feeding well, and has no other symptoms, there’s usually nothing to worry about. But if you notice constant sweating along with weakness, irritability, or slow growth, consult your pediatrician for evaluation.
