Q.

He hit his hand to an iron stick and some of his blood came…he didn’t get his 16-24 months vaccine yet..so should i have to take him to the hospital to get vaccine now or can i delay it?

A. But mam he didn’t get his 16-24 months vaccine..other than that all his vaccines are complete..so should i rush to get the 16-24 months vaccine or not?

A. if your child has completed the regular vaccination there is no need to go for tetanus vaccination at this age because it is already covered in the national immunisation schedule. if the injury or cut is very dirty enough then the final decision of tetanus vaccine will be taken by the doctor. thus not required to give the vaccine

A. Yes if you have not got the DPT vaccination done then it would be good for you to get the tetanus vaccination done for the child now it would be good to get it done better to be safe so shoot consult your paediatrician regarding this
