A. kindly give ors(oral rehydration solution) for every episode of loose motion and give simple diet made from rice dal and khichdi curd buttermilk apple banana and the natural probiotics from the curd will help in decreasing the loose motion and if it is not improving in one or two days then kindly meet your doctor.

A. When dealing with loose motion (diarrhea) in a one-year-old baby, it's important to focus on keeping them hydrated and comfortable while the illness runs its course. Here are some home remedies you can try:
1. **Oral rehydration solution (ORS):** Offer ORS solution to replenish lost fluids and electrolytes. You can buy ORS packets from a pharmacy or make a homemade solution by mixing 1 liter of clean water with 6 teaspoons of sugar and 1/2 teaspoon of salt.
2. **Breast milk or formula:** Continue to breastfeed or offer formula feeds as usual. Breast milk is easily digestible and helps provide essential nutrients and hydration.
3. **Bananas:** Bananas are gentle on the stomach and can help firm up stools. Mash a ripe banana and offer it to your baby as a snack or mix it with rice cereal.
4. **Rice water:** Cook rice in excess water and strain out the rice. Offer the rice water to your baby to drink. It can help soothe the stomach and replace lost fluids.
5. **Applesauce:** Applesauce is another gentle food that can help firm up stools. Offer unsweetened applesauce to your baby as a snack or mix it with rice cereal.
6. **Probiotics:** Probiotic supplements or probiotic-rich foods like yogurt can help restore the balance of healthy gut bacteria. If your baby is eating solid foods, you can offer plain, unsweetened yogurt with live and active cultures.
7. **Avoid certain foods:** Avoid giving your baby foods that may worsen diarrhea, such as dairy products, fatty or fried foods, sugary snacks, and high-fiber foods.
8. **Frequent breastfeeding or formula feeding:** Offer breast milk or formula more frequently than usual to ensure your baby stays hydrated.
9. **Monitor for dehydration:** Keep an eye out for signs of dehydration, such as decreased urine output, dry mouth, sunken fontanelle (soft spot on the head), or lethargy. If you notice any signs of dehydration, seek medical attention promptly.
If your baby's diarrhea persists for more than a couple of days, or if you have any concerns about their health or well-being, it's important to consult with a pediatrician for further evaluation and treatment.
