good morning doctor...my son is 7 yrs and 6months old..he frequently catches cold and fever...what should I do?

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children2 years agoA. Cold is most of the time because of viral illness and if the child is having recurrent running nose and nasal congesbtion it can be allergic rhinitis also so it needs a proper examinvation.
steam inhalation will be beneficial in both the cases along with decongestant medicine like wikoryl, alex cold
In viral illness there can be cough and fever which needs treatment accordingly along with a proper hydration .

keep baby well hydrated increase the water intake
give immunity boosting foods
give steam inhalation
use nasoclear saline nasal drops
apply warm mustard oil on baby chest back feet and gently massage at bed time
use Babyhug rapid relief baby rub
