Q.

Good evening doc.... My daughter's six month vaccine is due since 3 days... The vaccine date was on 4th but she was having fever and cold with runny nose...she is still having mild cold, can we proceed with her vaccine??

A. yes simple fever , cough and cold as well as simple discomfort of the child for a few days is xnot a contraindication for vaccination and it is advisable to go for vaccination at the earliest. the maximum you can delay would be around 2-3 weeks but after that it is advisabxle not to delay the vaccination if still in confusion you can meet your doctor who will examine the child and tell you whether vaccination delay is preferable or you can go for vaccination
