you have to maintain a habit of brushing your kid's teeth twice daily using small head soft bristles toothbrush along with rice grain size amount of kid's toothpaste upto the age of 3 years..

I suggest you please consult with your dentist about this matter because physical examination of child is important for proper diagnosis and treatment
