Q.
From last one week my baby is woking up at 2-2.30 am and sit on bed and starts crying. I need to put him on shoulders and make him sleep again. After that he is sleeping good. Any reason why he is waking up at 2.30 am? He daily sleeps at 11pm

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy1 Year agoA. there are number of reasons of excessive crying in children because it can be either due to some type of colic pain or digestion problem or due to some type of nasal blockage abdominal pain or any body pain / ear ache.
so if it is not improving meet your doctor andx for pain you can give one dosage of paracetamol.
if it appears to be colic pain you can give anti colic medicine and if it is due to nasal blockage you can give nasal saline drops.
many times changingx the environment of the child helps as well as diverting the child helps.
