#exergentemporalscanner Hello sir what should we have to do during emergency when baby having high fever around 103 Degree. And what should be the ideal dose of Amoxicillin & potassium clavulanate oral suspension 457mg/5ml. for 17 month old baby whose weight is 9.5 kg.

DivyaMom of a 5 yr 4 m old girl3 years agoA. I would like to reconcile the dose of pcm suggested by mom. it's 0.9 ml of 150 mg for fever ..there should be minimum gap of 4 hours between next dose of pcm (if required).

Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 4 m old boy4 years agoA. you should give paracetamol whenever the child is having fever but do not give any type of antibiotics without medical consultation and also the dosage changes from diagnosis to diagnosis for the child

2 to 2.5 ml paracetamol should be given to control fever
But after that please consult your pediatrician .
You may use cool pack to reduce temp.
You may give her a spoon of lukewarm water every hour in the daytime ( don't wake her up though)
dont use RO water..
Keep her hydrated by giving her BM
