Q.

Dr. I read in the newspaper yesterday that children under 5 years old have to be given Influenza vaccine. My baby is 3 year old .Is it required to give her this vaccine? Please advice.

A. definitely it is advisable to take influenza vaccine to the babies below the age of 18 years also to have protection against the flu and it can have protection for other problems also

A. hello...if you have not given that vaccine according to vaccine chart then give it...For the best protection, vaccinations need to be done on time. ‘On time’ means on (or as close as possible to) the due date .. The schedule which is given provides the ages at which your child should be vaccinated to get the earliest and best protection against vaccine-preventable disease...Your child isn’t fully protected if their vaccination is overdue, even if they have been up-to-date in the past.
