does giving one dose of flouroquinolones antibiotics to my baby who is having loose motion,6 times a day....can damage cartilage...someone told that flouroquinolones damages cartilage of babies.....my baby is 9 months old...kindly clear my doubt

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children4 years agoA. before giving any kind of medication to your child you should always consult with your pediatrician onuce for knowing about the proper indication and duration upto which dose needs to be given and also for the exact dosages awccording to the weight of the child. please do not self medicate it is not advisable because at times it may be harmful also.
