Q.

does Azithromycin (azithral) reduce platelets in babies?! my baby was given that antibiotic for fever by the pediatrician. now my baby has low platelets all of a sudden.

A. what treatment will be done to a 9month baby for dengue?! should he be admitted in the hospital? He had fever 4 days ago but is normal now. active n playing but dengue positive in the report.

A. It was not self medication. took my baby for check up n the doctor prescribed crocin to be given every 6 hours, zine-pm syrup for morning n evening , nd azithral (6ml to be given) as a single dose per day. The pediatrician prescribed it.

A. Fever is when the temperature of the body goes above 99 degree fahrenheit and the safest medicine in such situation is paracetamol which can be repeated after 6 hours again if required in a proper dose . Alternative medicine can also be tried if required like ibuprofen and mefenamic acid preparations. cold sponging of the whole body with tap water can be beneficial too to bring the temperature down .you should always consult doctor for proper medicine because it is only after clinical examination that prockper treatment would be suggested and weight is important to decide dosage do not selfmedicate
