Q.

doctor suggested to give 20ml of expressed breast milk after each feeding to increase baby weight. I tried by hand but is not possible to extract that amount of milk, so I thought going for electric pump. Please suggest if it is good idea or not?

A. hi mam but why you are expressing milk ? I mean , direct breastfeeding provide comfort and security to a child ,so you should offer direct breastfeeding only. because the more you feed your baby ,more is the stimulation and more is the breastmilk production . Also relaxed mind , cuddle your baby , confidence while feeding help in oxytocin release and increase milk production. but if you want to use breastpump,I would suggest to use Babyhug electric breastpump which is easy and will help you to stimulate your milk glands too .
