Q.

Do all variations in EEG(occasional spike discharges, generalised burst of sharp and slow waves)always mean epilepsy. Is there any other reasons for this kind of EEG result for a 21mnth old child. He had fever, low hb, during the time of doubtful seizure(without any jerking or any other usual seizure symptoms )

A. pediatric neurologist can explain you about eeg analysis for further advice in this regard it is advisable to consult your doctor for physical examination and if there is need to do investigations also then only proper treatment can be given
