A. For a 9-month-old baby, you can give 4 to 8 ounces (120-240 ml) of water per day in small sips along with solid meals. Since breast milk or formula remains the primary source of hydration, avoid giving too much water, as it can fill up the baby’s stomach and reduce nutrient intake. Offer water in a sippy cup or small spoon rather than a bottle. If the weather is hot or the baby is constipated, you can slightly increase the amount but ensure they are still drinking enough milk.
