Dear sir/ma'am my daughter is 2.1 years old, she is eating too much quantity of cement/puty/soil. what could I do?

A. This habit is called as pica. This happens with the babies having either nutritional deficiency or iron deficiency. You have to consult your pediatrician and also get a Deworming done to your child and get the baby evaluated furtherWrite Your Answer Here

A. One form of treatment associates the pica behavior with negative consequences or punishment (mild aversion therapy). Then the person gets rewarded for eating normal foods. Medicines may help reduce the abnormal eating behavior if pica is part of a developmental disorder such as intellectual disability.
