dear dr my son 6 years suffering with cold and cough plz tell since last 6 days give remidies

Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful . cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators oridd antitussives medicine which should be given only after a proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type of cough. if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children2 years agoA. Hello there ma’am please do not worry about it too much and if baby is suffering from cold and cough for last six months then it is better to evaluate once with local doctor in person and it may be due to viral fever or flu. Take care
