Q.

Dear Doctor, my second baby is 55 days old today. I am breastfeeding him but during the early weeks after birth he reluctant to latch on my left breast. He mainly latch on my right breast. He urinates regularly about 6 to 7 times daily. During birth his weight is 2.9 kg, now his weight is 4.3 kgs. My concern is that whether is normal to only feed with one breast. I took mother horlisks and lactonic granules to increase milk supply. My right breast has much bigger in size than my left breast. Please suggest.

A. many times this type of pattern of feeding is seen in children but it is very important to give breastfeeding from another breast also otherwise it will lead to abnormal shape so kindly meet lactation expert at the earliest

A. Hi mom not to worry sometimes and it could happen if baby is uncomfortable the other side or is not able to latch well or the flow could be more or less or nipple could be small or big. Just try to hold baby conveniently and try once. Slowly they will use it when they are comfortable.
