Dear Doctor, My daughter is pestering me for getting her a sibling. All her friends have little sisters/brothers, so she wants her own now. But I'm not ready/nor interested in conceiving again. Please advise me how could I convince her.

Author of questionMom of 2 children2 years agoA. I agree, but I'm already 35 and I don't have the confidence of starting from 0 again with another baby. After my first child, I had been through a lot. I suffered anxiety, depression and I was scared if my daughter will be taken away. I stayed with my parents for a while and even now I'm staying away in US with my daughter. My husband couldn't spend much time with the first baby when she was little and even now, he is in India all alone. We both are good terms but staying apart due to our careers. He is also eager to have another baby. But because of my past experiences I have really made my mind to not to go through such things again. I'm not able to convince either my husband or my child.
