Q.

Dear doctor My child is 4 months old. My child is going to be vaccinated after 4 days. At that time doctor will provide polio vaccine. Now from government side they are providing polio vaccine campaigns. can my child can take two doses of vaccine now and after 4 days. please suggest us

A. All the vaccination should be given according to the vaccination schedule whether the government or IAP schedule you can discuss with your pediatrician regarding the details of the vaccination. Pulse polio immunization programme is provided by the governbfament to all children below 5 years of age. if your child has received polio vaccine before then also you should give this vaccine on the the pulse polio day as this is an additional vaccine.

A. hello mum if you are sure that your pediatrician is going to give you baby polio drops then you can skip this otherwise you can take today and then leave when pediatrician is giving the polio vaccine you can say it is taken 4 days back there is nothing to be worried please do let them know
