Q.

Dear Doctor, I am a mother to a 5-month-old baby. Unfortunately, I have recently been diagnosed with conjunctivitis, which has blurred my vision. My ophthalmologist has advised me not to breastfeed my baby until my condition improves, which could take up to a month, and there are no alternative treatments available. Can you please provide guidance on how I can maintain and increase my breast milk supply during this period, despite not being able to feed my baby directly? Thank you.

A. Hello dear parent! The more your baby suckles your breastmilk directly the better milk supply. Consult your doctor for further assistance. Clarify your concerns and follow your doctor’s advice. Good luck and take care
