Author of questionMom of a 4 yr 9 m old boy3 years agoA. In my house already brothers kids one 4years and another one was 6years they both will have frequently getting cold and cough due to they're going to school.Thats the reason my kid also having cold .
Already I've given 6days medicine's.now I've leave it for 3days but still looks like having cold inside but compare to last 6days it's better only.pls advise what should I follow now

Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. Cough along with Cold most of the time is a viral illness and it needs supportive care along with proper hydration. you can give steam inhalation which is very useful .
cough needs to be treated with anti allergic and expectorant bronchodilators or antitussives medicine which should be given only after agy proper evaluation by the doctor according to the type ohf cough.
if fever is there paracetamol can be given to reduce the fever and the dose can be repeated after 6 hours again if required .
