can we give raisin water to a 5 month old for constipation

Author of questionMom of 4 children2 years agoA. thank you doctor.. but my daughter is only on breast milk... its been 9 days she has not passed stools. but her abdomen is soft,,been doing all exercises,,sometimes she's becoming cranky,,,any tips to regularize her bowel movements

Constipation in Babies less than 1 year is very common and more in formula fed babies and also when initially the semi solid food htuas been started after 6 months . you can give bonnisan drops and some enzyme preparations in proper dose suggested by doctor and cow's milk should be avoided before 1 year of age . Medications are required but it should be givenr only in medical supervision .
