Dipti jadhavMom of a 4 m old girl1 day agoA. Please don’t give it unless it was specifically prescribed for your child and you know the exact strength (mg per 5 mL).
“Zofer/Zofer syrup” is usually Ondansetron, and the dose for a 5-year-old depends on the child’s weight and the syrup concentration (for example, some are 2 mg/5 mL, others are 4 mg/5 mL). Giving 30 mL could be far too much depending on the formulation.

Also, ondansetron is not usually the first choice for simple car-motion sickness.
For car-journey vomiting, safer immediate steps:
Stop the car and let your child sit upright
Small sips of water/ORS
Fresh air/open window
Avoid heavy food before travel
Seat them where they can look forward (not at phone/books)
Dr Sameer awadhiyaGuardian of 2 children3 years agoA. you should always consult doctor for proper medicine because it is only after clinical exagumination that proper treatment would be suggested and weight is important to decide dosage do not selfmedicate
