can I take covid vaccine while breastfeeding my 2 month old baby?

A. yes allowed any Covid vaccine like covishield / covaxin / sputnik can be given safely to nursing mothers and pregnant women as per the latest recommendation which is approved by govt of India.children are still not included in this list.trials are still going on but proper confirmation regarding this is not yet done by the govt.it may take some more time.till then children need to be kept under full safety precautions and given a good balanced diet n supplements for good immunity and other vaccines done timely.ytt Nursing mothers can feed their child as soon as required after the vaccination very safely.it has no adverse effects on the baby.in case of any pain or fever after vaccination,tab dolo can be taken which is safest during this period.

A. Hello dear parent! Yes, you can. As per the latest guidelines breastfeeding mothers are allowed to take covid vaccinations. Give a gap of 2 hours between vaccination and feeding. Eat a well balanced healthy diet and keep yourself hydrated all through the day while breastfeeding your baby. Good luck and take care.
