Dr Vandan H KumarFather of a 7 yr 5 m old boy1 Year agoA. better to use a stainless steel container for storage of milk to decrease the chances of infection
you can store breast milk at room temperature that is around 25 degree celsius to 30 degree celsius for 4 hours and when you are storing in the refrigerator you can store it for 24 hours. before usage you can warm the milk and give it to the child. (use warm water to warm the milk)
it is not advisable to keep this warmed milk back in the refrigerator if unused.
so better to take only that much amount from the refrigerator which you are confident that the child will drink.
SanthoshiMom of a 1 yr 9 m old girl1 Year agoA. breastmilk can be well stored In room temperature for 4-6 hours. But it's good to consume within 4 hours. That's safe. In fridge you can store upto 4-5 days. And in freezer you can store upto two weeks. It's absolutely safe. To feed heat a bowl with water and over that place another bowl with stored milk and heat it for few mins say 2-3 mins. Store breast milk in bottles made of glass or hard plastic with tight-fitting lids. Don't store milk in disposable bottle liners.
