can I give my baby water ? someone in know used to and nothing happened

ExpertDr. Swapnil SaxenaAyurvedic Physician4 years agoA. nothing will happen but what actually is the reason why water is not advised is it is devoid of any nutrition and it fills the smaller stomach so so it is better to give only breast milk because initial portion is watery that takes care of hydration so giving water separately is not required

Sarika guptaMom of 2 children4 years agoA. hello there ma'am please do not worry about it too much and also avoid to give your baby water to this age of three months as it is always advisable to give baby breastfeeding exclusively for the first six months.
